Jeanette's life started in Los Angeles California with her mother, Lucille Debaca, and father, David Debaca who had four girls and two boys.
Jeannette attended Lennox High School in 1962 and then went to El Camino College. She later met a man named Randy Dunn, with whom she had
her one and only child, Lisa Dunn.
Jeannette was a waitress in her early years. She had a great love for traveling and she was able to go work for American Express Travel,
which provided her with great resources to help her travel to many different countries as often as she could. She worked there for many - many years.
She lived in Redondo Beach & Palos Verdes, California, where she and her daughter lived for many years. In 1996, she suffered multiple aneurysms
while traveling and hiking in Hawaii. Several years after she recovered, she was still enjoying life and traveling. In 2000, she moved into a
beautiful guesthouse behind her daughter Lisa's house in Long Beach.
In 2019 she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer that had already spread into her lymph nodes, to which she underwent a successful mastectomy.
She chose to not undergo radiation/chemo treatment afterwards. We believed the cancer had came back at some point because she started having a
lot of health concerns along with her cognitive skills were rapidly declining. At that point, Lisa moved her into an assisted living memory care
home in 2021 and is where she passed away peacefully with family by her side.
Everyone loved Jeannette, she had an amazing fulfilling adventurous life and did everything that she wanted to do. She will truly be missed.
