Ron moved to Lennox, CA. with his parents and siblings in 1952. After graduating, he joined the Army. He then married and had 3 children while working as a manager of a Finance Company. Later he was a buyer for a Home Center. He was dedicated to his work and got along well with his fellow employees. Ron loved the outdoors where he loved to hunt and fish with his brothers Bob (1942-2014), Alan and Larry, especially after moving to Oregon and living along the Willamette River. Ron's favorite past time was hunting and fishing with his brothers Skills they inherited from their father, Alfred Doffing (1911-1957). Five of the six Doffing siblings graduated from Lennox: Bob ('60), Marilyn ('61), Larry ('64), Alan ('69), and Lynette ('74). His oldest sister, Patti, graduated before the family moved to Lennox. |

Ronald Paul Doffing, 74, of Springfield, Oregon, passed away on April 18, 2022 of cancer. Ron was born to Bertha and Alfred Doffing in Hastings, Minnesota, on July 23, 1947. He graduated from Lennox High School in Inglewood, CA. He also attended El Camino College in Torrance, CA before enlisting in the Army in 1966 in which he served for 3 years. In the 70's, Ron lived in Billings, Montana and was manager of a Beneficial Finance. He also worked in a home center there. Ron worked for several years in the 80's as a buyer for Jerry's Home Center in Eugene. He then started his own kitchen design business that he ran for 16 years before retiring. Ron loved boating, fishing, camping, put them altogether and he was in his heaven on earth. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Sharron Doffing Cornutt, and a brother, Bob Doffing. He is survived by his sons Dave and Brian Doffing,
several grandchildren; and sisters Patti de la Cuesta, Lynette Vandeveer, Marilyn Doffing, and brothers Larry and Alan Doffing. |
