First I attended El Camino College where one of my favorite Teachers from Lennox High School was also teaching. Mr. Armstrong. Then I attended Long Beach State University where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Marketing. But before starting my first job I saw the U.S.A. in a Chevrolet. My Father's brand new pick-up which had two saddle gasoline tanks and could hold 60 gallons of gasoline. The trip was a lot of fun we started from the home I grew up in on W. 111 th. Street. We went up the west coast to Seattle WA. then across the top of the country to Bangor MA. Then down to Florida where we witnessed an Apollo lift-off from Cape Caneverial. After the lift-off it was hot so we filled up with gas and got our haircut and took a swim. Then we drove to New Orleans and had to take a room in a Hotel because we locked the keys in the truck we were both tired and a little sun-burned from laying on the Beach in Florida. When we stopped for Gasoline the attendent asked how we liked Florida, we said it was very green but it sure was HOT he replied isn't just like this in California? No it is sunny but hardly any humidity. Then I started my first job at Pepperdine University where I met some very nice people. Then after Pepperdine I got better and better jobs and now I'm retired and living in a new development in Glendale the Excelsior, there is a heated swimming pool, Jacuzzi, Gymnasium and lots of Movie thatres and restaurants that are withing walking distance.
