I have been heavily into genealogy for about 5 years now have been accepted into the Daughter’s of the American Revolution. That was hard to do. Enjoying the history of my family that I had no idea about. [2/9/19] ***** I worked as a Veterinary Technician for 30 years in a small animal clinic. I was one of the first technicians licensed in the state. After the clinic I went to work for UC Davis as a microbiologist in the milk quality lab in a satellite clinic in Tulare, Ca where I retired from in 2016. I am now loving retirement and doing all the projects I never got to while I was working. I am a Lyme disease survivor and warrior! I was finally diagnosed with it in 2007 and treated aggressively for 8 years and am now in remission. Life is good! [10/24/18] ***** After leaving the small animal clinic I went back to school in the nursing program. I didn't like it! Guess I prefer animals to humans. Have been working for the University of California, Davis satellite campus in Tulare, Ca for 13 years. I am a milk quality Staff Research Associate doing microbiology for all the dairy herds in Ca and the entire U.S. I truly miss the medicine field and the animals but this job is so much less harsh on the body! My days of lifting 150 lb. Rottweilers is over, thank God! Now I am happy lifting petri plates and identifying what grows on unpasteurized milk. (not a pretty sight) We help dairy cows and Veterinarians diagnose sick animals for the correct medications needed. Cows on antibiotics NEVER go into the drinking milk supply. One request I have is please don't drink unpasteurized milk, you wouldn't believe what's in it. E. Coli to staph aureus and everything in between. No Organic milk for this immune compromised person! Still married to my second husband, who made it through his dissected aorta surgery at Ronald Reagan UCLA medical hospital. He is back to racing his hot rod and doing well except some memory issues after the stroke during surgery. I'm about to become a Grams to twins, a girl and a boy due May 14, 2015 can't wait! Always loved children and only got one due to my divorce. Retiring from the University next July 1 so looking for somewhere to move to escape California's crazy politics and man made drought. Fish over people is absurd especially with out any level of accountability that the environmental water releases are helping one fish and they use 50% of our water, more than farmers at 40.7% not the 80% Gov Brown and the media keep throwing out there. Can anyone tell me how to get in touch with Betsy Haines Kruk's daughters? I need to talk to them about genealogy. That is my new hobby. Thanks all and would love to have another reunion that I could participate in not just run it. [5/7/15] ***** Went to college at Pierce College, Woodland Hills got my AS and went to work as a Veterinary Technician. I was one of the first to be licensed in the field. Since then I have worked in the Veterinary profession with most of my time at one hospital here in Visalia, 27 years. My boss retired and I decided to retire from the field also. I am now back in school trying to get my nursing degree. Switched from the 4 legged animal to the 2 legged one! I have been married twice. The first marriage produced 1 child who is soon to be 21, at University of the Pacific, Stockton. The second time, no kids and have been married 15 years in October 2001. Other than that all I have been doing lately is working on 2001 reunion, every spare moment. Hope to see all of you there!
