Earned my Doctorate in Education - Curriculum and Instruction in 2012... retired from teaching in 2016. In 2013, opened my home to at-risk foster boys ages 15-21. Enjoying the wild ride into old age.       [8/5/18]

To update, I am up to 9 grandsons now... still no girls : ) I am still a special education teacher and will be receiving a doctorate in education - curriculum and instruction in November     [9/22/09]

Married Gayle DePagter (LHS '70); U.S. Air Force through 1976, Medic and medical Admin; 2yrs EWU (WA), then to England, Bicester, Oxfordshire in '80 for 2 yrs; Divorced '81 after 4 kids; remarried '84, 2 more kids and another divorce in '88; Slaved in corporate america, moved to Seattle area in '88, turned 40, quit the job, hit the books and became a teacher in special education/severe and profound, currently in a 6-12 grade life skills program.  Hauled dead bodies for 5 years (to get me through school and first few years of teacher's salary) Master of Education summer '02. I have five grandsons 3 to 12 y/o.  Turned 49 today 1/31/03.   Motto: life goes on until it doesn't anymore.        [Updated 01/31/03]
