Ouy beloved George T. Rivero, known as G
, tragically passed away in the early hours on August 14th, 2023 in Nacogdoches, Texas. He was born on a military base in
Prince George, Virginia and relocated at an early age with his parents to Los Angeles and settled in Lennox. While at Lennox, his passion for and excelled in football while in
high school, his jersey numbers being #78 and on the varsity team he was #41. He, along with several other Lancers proudly represented Lennox High School from 1972-1975
on the All-Pioneer League Football team where he played Defense Back
on the First Team Defense which was named the all time leagues best defense.
George was well liked and was named as the, Biggest Flirt and Wolf
, during his senior year, graduating in 1975.
After high school, he lived in Semi Valley and Hawthorne where he diligently worked in the aircraft industry where he had a great a love and
passion for airplanes that was very evident to all who knew him. George married twice and was a dedicated loving husband and father to two sons, and a step-daughter,
Natalie.
George retired in 2020, and moved to Nacogdoches, Texas to enjoy a quieter life than in SoCal. During his life, he enjoyed and loved deep sea fishing, watching
football, especially the RAIDERSSS, coaching/mentoring, riding his bike or in fast cars, camping, traveling, taking care of his valuables,
listening to his favorite genre of music - HEAVY METAL, and watching all sports.
George will FOREVER be missed but will ALWAYS live on in our thoughts, our memories and in our hearts. Moving forward, we dedicate in your name/memory of
every Raider game to you George! We love you eternally! Continue to be free G
