BIO

Perusing the site, its heartening to see how many classmates have gone on to have happy/productive lives after leaving LHS. Contrasting sentiments for the “in memoriam” postings – these drive home the randomness/fragility of our time on this world. As for myself, I can’t complain about my post HS existence. Shortly after graduation, I got started in entry-level banking, transitioned to data communications, and as an early-adopter – rode the nascent networking profession to its zenith. Traveled the world for work, and participated in many trailblazing “first-of” projects. I took the delayed path to college – earning a BA, followed by an MS to conquer my mid-life crisis (more practical than a red Porsche). Got married to a wonderful woman who keeps me grounded and shares a love of exploring the world. As we approach the final chapters of the career-dominated phase of life, we’re looking forward to turning the page toward retirement. This will give us even more time to enjoy our shared pastimes – camping/hiking with our Dobermans; scuba-diving exotic warm-water reefs; sailing the San Juan’s in Puget; exploring historic/cultural destinations as well as eco-tourism. At some point, I’d like to join the 7-Continent club with a quick jaunt in Antarctica (one can hope).    [2/27/2020]
