BIO

2005 was a year of change for me. I left Donahue Schriber Realty Group to Pan Pacific Realty Group (who got bought out by Kimco Realthy 2 months after I started). Went back to American Nevada Company - yes the company I was at from 2003-2005 with an upgraded title and more $$$. I love property management and will be able to write a great book on my experiences when I retire! Hubby is retired and we are sticking it out in the foreclosure capital of the US! I am able to connect to a lot of friends on Facebook which is pretty cool!     [3/14/10]

I just started working for Donohue Schriber Realty Group - a company who just bought five properties from American Nevada.  They have opened a new satellite office in Henderson, Nevada (the Beverly Hills of Las Vegas) and have several locations throughout the west coast.  Donohue Schriber has been named the best company to work for in Orange County (see www.dsrg.com) and is a very young company. Glen and I have been married for 29 years now - boy time goes by fast. We are both into motorcycles and ride when we can. There is lots of highway out this way and the weather is much more bike friendly!  I worked for Cirque du Soleil for a couple of months and saw the entertainment side of Vegas which was a blast.  Lots of fun entertainment when family comes to town - and cheap eats too! In May 2003, we moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and I am working for a property management company - American Nevada Company (www.americannevada.com). Our newest project is a new shopping center called The District which is a combination of retail shops, offices, and condominiums which you can view at www.thedistrictatgvr.com. I am currently studying for the Nevada Real Estate Exam as a secondary business to get into as the market is great here! [12/03/05]

What have I been doing for the last 25 years? Where do I start...   I married my high school sweetheart, Glen, one month after high school and worked part-time for the Lennox School District at all of the schools that I went to school when growing up as an aide in the classroom and in the cafeteria for almost 2 years.  I worked for an import/export company for 2 years and then went to work for Western Airlines as an accounting clerk/collections coordinator for 8-1/2 years until Delta Airlines bought them out and moved my job to Atlanta, Georgia. I went back to the Lennox School District as a secretary and worked up to a confidential administrative position for over 8 years.  Many of my co-workers at the school district were fellow Lennox Lancers - Darci (Plummer) Uhart, Pedro (Pete) Uhart, David McFarland, Beatriz (Bety) Torres to name a few. Do you know how hard it is not to call a former teacher Mr. or Mrs.!  Believe me it was especially Ruth Pumphrey, Hal Wagner, Bryan Amundson... teachers that were mine in elementary, junior and high school! My mom, Marilyn Terhune, is the Central Kitchen Manager at Lennox Middle School (formerly Lennox High School) and my sister, Teri-Lyn Leonard, works at a Payroll Coordinator at the Lennox School District Office.  At one time, my mom, both sisters, my brother-in-law and myself worked for the Lennox School District. A family affair for sure!   After much planning, we decided to move to Muscatine, Iowa where I was born and raised to the age of 8. My brother, Brian Willits, and his family have lived in Muscatine for over 30 years and we are going on 8 years now. I currently work for Musco Lighting LLC (www.musco.com) going on 8 years (that seems to be the magic number for change!) and am a Regional Office Coordinator. I have the opportunity to travel for training personnal at our regional office locations which are located in Farmingdale, New Jersey; High Point, North Carolina; Columbus, Ohio; Norman, Oklahoma (to be relocated to Austin, Texas); and Costa Mesa, California - which I can make a business/pleasure trip with my hubby!    We do not have any children - just 2 cats (Bentley and Porsche) - but have lots of nieces and nephews to spoil. I love to read with a collection of over 1300 books and am an absentee member of a book club in Florida which a friend keeps me up-to-date on the monthly meetings, etc. We love movies and have a pretty good video selection. And I am known to carry a big purse with just about anything available for that would-be emergency!    Glen and I just celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary - actually on the weekend of the Lennox Lancer Reunion (sorry we didn't spend it with you all!).  Maybe you will see us at the next reunion and from a different location again!!!
