Kandy was born to Theodore Clyde Ted
Arbogast and Lorna Karen Rasmussen in Burley, Idaho. She had two younger brothers, Jeffrey C. Jeff
, and Gregory Greg
T., both graduates of Lennox High School.
The Arbogast family moved to Lennox in 1967 so her dad could attend computer school where the family stayed until returning to Burley, Idaho
in 1979, her Kandy met and married Randy Kevin Barksdale on September 16, 1983 in Burley, Idaho, where Randy worked in his family's refrigeration business.
Life was challenging for Randy and Kandy due to Randy having health issues. They had several children: Larry, Karen, Debra, Christa, and Tonya; along
with many grandchildren. Kandy's family enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and time at the family cabin. She was an active member of the LDS Church throughout her life and enjoyed serving in her
many callings in Relief Society, Primary and Young Womens. They remained stalwart in the Lord all of her days, attending the temple as often as they could.
Kandy is survived by her children and grandchildren, her mom, Lorna, and brother Jeff. She was preceded in death by her husband Randy in 2016; her dad, Ted, in 2011; and her brother Greg in 2000.
She was cremated and her ashes kept by family members.
