Finally got the self employment desires taken care of. I own a training company and the local movie theater. Been hearing from quite a few Lancers which I've been enjoying tremendously. All my kids are grown with only one married and so I'm loving being a grandfather and looking forward to more of them. [3/10/09] ***** Retired from the Air Force July 1, 2004. Now working for a Dept. of Energy Contractor until my own business is making enough money to do it full time. Living in Pocatello, Idaho and enjoying it up here. [Update 2//04/05] For the first couple of years after HS I worked in trucking, manufacturing, electronics, sales, meat cutting, and for the past 20 years the Air Force. I just retired from the AF on July 1st, 2004. I now work for BNFL, a contractor for the Department of Energy, as a Senior Training Specialist. I married in 1981, had my 1st son in 1982. Moved to Sacramento in 1983 until June 1984 when I joined the AF. My second son was born at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho. We moved to The Netherlands in April 1986 where my 2 daughters were born while we were there and they both hold dual citizenship from there and the US. We returned to the US in 1990 to live in Grand Forks, North Dakota. While there, I was deployed in 1994 to Egypt for 6 months. In October 1995, we moved Wichita Falls, Texas. In June 2000, we were reassigned to Pocatello, Idaho where I have just retired and now enjoying the beauty of nature, and low population of people. [Update 7/6/04] Currently in Air Force, Retire in July 2004. Lots of college; been around the world once or twice. 4 kids. [Update 8/11/03] After high school I worked at a lot of various jobs and tried to go to El Camino and Long Beach City Colleges but didn't get very far. I married in May 1981 and became a butcher for Alpha Beta grocery stores until 1984 when I was laid-off. We had one son the following year. I then joined the Air Force in June 1984. I have now been the AF for 17 years and retire in 3 years. I've been blessed to have lived in various parts of America, Holland, and Egypt. The AF help me obtain 5 college degrees with another to come this fall in addition to me continuing work on my Masters in Business Administration degree. My greatest gifts since high school have been my four children ages 12, 14, 16, and 19. In addition, one of the greatest people I have ever known came from Lennox but I didn't learn of the outstanding qualities she possessed until later in life when it was too late and of whom I will consider a "King of Queens" in more ways than one forever. Lennox Lancer's Rule I encourage and look forward to hearing from any and all former Lancer's. |
