Carla was born and raised in Southern California, living primarily in the Inglewood area. She graduated CSU Dominguez Hills in 1984 and went to the USC School of Pharmacy where she optained her Doctorate in Pharmacy. USC in Pharmacy and was a pharmacist in Inglewood, Santa Monica and other local cities during her career. She started her family later in life having two beautiful daughters, Skylar and Brooke.

Carla had deep faith and trusted in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to carry her through life professionally and personally. She taught her daughters the value of a good education and like her, both went into medicine.

Many of her work associates and extensives friends did not know she was having health issues and were in complete shock upon hearing of her passing. She was well loved and respected by all who knew her and could count on her give them the strength they needed. With a heart of gold, she passed the love for everyone on to all who knew her.

Her brother, Steve Evans, preceeded her in passing twelve years ago, as well as her parents.
