In Memory  1935 - 2012

It is with deep sadness and a profound sense of loss that we announce the passing of Bill Calder on Oct. 2, 2012, in San Jose, California,

He was a rare human being - a friend to all and generous beyond belief. His gregarious nature, hearty laugh and trademark expressions: "Geezo Peezo" and Holy Moley, Andy" will be long remembered with fondness by his many friends and loved ones.

Aloha, Mr Bill, may you enjoy your beloved sunsets for all eternity!

Our CADA Ohana (family)

Our beloved Wild Bill, Mr. Bill, Billy, Coach or President Bill Calder passed away on Tuesday, October 2 at 6:15 a.m. He fought a gallant fight against Alzheimer and Parkinson’s (lewy body) Disease.  (She left out "Teddy Bear")

We will always remember his first CADA Area E student leadership conference making over $15,000 in profit and the Board not knowing what to do with the money. He will always be remembered for his outstanding compassion and spirit to his students, his school and to CADA, serving as Area E Coordinator and as CADA President- the Queen Mary, Spruce Goose State Convention (1986) was an OMG experience.

His favorite sayings,“Geez-O-Peezo”, “Holy Moly Andy” and “to make a long story short” will be long remembered as his trademark words, as will his Lea & Perrin sauce on everything. That was a classic!!!

Memorial Services will be held in Santa Cruz/Seascape Resort in front of our old beach house, in Long Beach and in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii at our coastline property. “Time and place” yet to be determined.

We are in the process of setting up a CADA Student Leadership Fund in his name. Information will be forthcoming.

My gracious thanks to all of our CADA family who held us in their prayers and thoughts during his illness.

Until then, “a hui ho”(until we meet again).
